Jay, A neighbor here in Nelson was telling me a story about the "Cargill roses" of Otago. He said Captain Cargill had given a rose bush to every woman sailing with him to NZ. Don't know if this is true, but it would be interesting to investigate. Looking forward to meeting you, Molly, Claire and Oliver soon.
